NoteBean Privacy Policy

NoteBean is a music theory practice app for beginners. We take privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how NoteBean handles user information.

1. We do not transmit personal information

NoteBean does not require account registration or sign-in. It does not send user information to the developer or any server, and it does not ask users to provide phone numbers, email addresses, real names, identity documents, schools, addresses, or other personally identifiable information.

2. Information saved locally

To support separate practice profiles on one device, NoteBean saves the following information locally on the device:

• Nickname
• Avatar selection
• Practice progress
• App preferences, such as language, answer style, and practice instrument

NoteBean does not transmit this information to the developer, servers, or third parties. Depending on the user's iOS settings, it may be included in a device backup.

3. We do not use sensitive permissions

NoteBean does not access or use the following device permissions:

• Location
• Camera
• Microphone
• Photos
• Contacts
• Calendar
• Bluetooth

NoteBean only uses the device's audio playback capability to play local practice notes, rhythms, and feedback sounds. It does not record audio.

4. We do not track users

NoteBean does not include advertising SDKs, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not collect advertising identifiers.

5. We do not include ads, in-app purchases, or social features

NoteBean does not include ads, in-app purchases, chat, community features, user-generated content, or public sharing features.

6. Data deletion

Users can delete local profiles that are not currently active in the app. After deleting the app, NoteBean data stored on the device is normally removed with the app. If a user restores a device from a system backup, data recovery depends on the iOS backup and restore mechanism.

7. Third-party services

NoteBean currently does not use third-party analytics, advertising, sign-in, payment, or cloud sync services.

8. Minors' privacy

NoteBean does not ask users to provide age, real name, school, or other identity information. The app does not transmit minors' personal information to the developer or servers, does not show targeted ads, and does not direct users to make purchases.

9. Privacy Policy updates

If NoteBean adds accounts, cloud sync, online services, or other features that may affect privacy in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and explain the relevant changes on the App Store page or inside the app.
